Spider-Man: Homecoming Adds Jona Xiao

Spider-man homecomingMarvel Studios and Sony Pictures have added actress Jona Xiao to the Spider-Man: Homecoming cast.

Variety is reporting that Xiao will join Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, and Marisa Tomei in the upcoming Spider-Man movie, according to their sources. Unfortunately, details of Xiao’s character are being kept under wraps, so we don’t know much more than that at this point.

If she looks familiar, it’s because we’ve seen Xiao in a couple of notable shows before, including AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire (she plays the role of Julie Yang) and Rizzoli & Isles. She’ll also be seen in the upcoming comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses starring Gal Gadot, Jon Hamm, and Zach Galafianakis, and she’ll play opposite Chris Evans in Gifted next year.

Of course, the casting director for Spider-Man: Homecoming has been incredibly busy this summer, also adding Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr, Donald Glover, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, and Angourie Rice.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017, and it’s one of our most anticipated upcoming movies of 2017. Stay tuned to Nerd Much until then for more of the latest movie news.
