Squanchtendo: New VR Game Studio from Rick and Morty Co-Creators

squanchtendoSquanchtendo is a brand new studio from one of the co-creators of Rick and Morty and an ex-Epic Games executive producer. Get ready for some crazy virtual reality!

Justin Roiland from Rick and Morty and Tanya Watson of Epic Games made the announcement earlier today via a comic stip press release. As you can see below, they even have a studio mascot names Little Splzooshly. Squanchtendo’s plan is to make “funny, imaginative, story-driven VR game experiences of all sizes across all VR platforms.”

squanchtendoAt the time of writing, there have not been any formal reveals. While we don’t know of any games yet, they have teased that there will be “a ton of announcements coming up.”

We best know Justin Roiland for creating the highly successful Rick and Morty series on Adult Swim. Additionally, Roiland also acts as the voices for the titular characters. Meanwhile, Watson worked with Epic games on the Gears of War series, Bulletstorm, and Fortnite.

In other news, the other co-creator of Rick and Morty, Dan Harmon, is supposedly writing new scenes for Marvel’s Doctor Strange.

We are very excited to see what Squanchtendo creates. They have great minds running their business, so we have fairly high expectations.
