A JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure live-action movie is actually happening! The popular anime and manga series is expected to release on the big screen next summer.
This glorious production is thanks to a partnership between Warner Bros. Japan and Toho. As The Hollywood Reporter revealed, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure live-action movie will be directed by Takashi Miike from 13 Assassins. “I’m a nervous type and didn’t sleep for a few nights thinking about whether to accept the offer for this project,” he said.
If you’re not already a fan of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the story centers around the Joestar family. Together, they use their special powers to fight against supernatural forces. Kento Yamazaki is set to star as the series’ main character Josuke Higashikata.

Additionally, Warner Bros. Japan and Toho confirmed that the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure live-action film will be shot in Spain. The two production companies are planning a worldwide release in Summer 2017.
We are extremely excited to see how this plays out. We are just hoping it turns out a lot better than the Attack on Titan live-action movies.
