Hideo Kojima presented viewers of The Game Awards with “a gift” of dead crabs, bomber planes, military tanks littered with corpses, scary black rising water, creepy dolls, babies in mechanical pods, and spooky soldiers.
All of this insanity was found in just one trailer, the brand new Death Stranding trailer, which debuted an in-game Mads Mikkelsen from Hannibal as the games antagonist and he even has these bizarre, glowing wire like tentacles.
This is the second trailer since it was announced at E3 earlier this year, which showed similarly dead crabs and a naked man holding what looks like a washed up infant that then disappears turning invisible and leaving a black oily liquid behind.
This will be Hideo Kojima’s first game since the termination of their contract with Konami and the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. They also discussed it having a multi-player function at the Tokyo Game Show this year. At that time he was still trying to decide between two engines for production and one was used to produce the trailer. Upon release, it will be playable in 4k with HDR graphics and is planned for both PS4 and PC. Kojima recieved in the Industry Icon award at The Game Awards.
