The Aquaman release date has been set! If you were hoping to see the aquatic hero in 2017, Justice League will be your only chance.
James Wan will act as director for the project. Previously, Wan directed Fast and Furious 7 and The Conjuring. According to Wan, the movie will be in the same spirit as Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. This is a big departure from the moody tone the movies have followed so far.
More From Nerd Much?:
Besides Jason Momoa as the titular character, Aquaman will also feature Willem Defoe as Vulko and Amber Heard as Mera. We even got a good look at how Mera will look in next year’s Justice League. Reports have suggested for a while now that Black Manta will be the main villain.
The character won’t make his big screen debut until November 17, 2017, during Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie. Hopefully, DC has started to learn from their mistakes with the most recent superhero outings. The next DC movie to give up hope is Wonder Woman. Catch her big debut on June 2, 2017.
