Alien: Covenant Looks Great…Really, Great.

Yesterday, while we were mostly opening gifts and spending time with our loved ones, 20th Century Fox decided to drop the very first Alien: Covenant trailer, and it just might be one of the best movie trailers of 2016. Sure, we’re LTTP with sharing it with our readers. But hey, we were a bit busy yesterday (as were most of you).

Anyway, the first Alien: Covenant trailer is filled with fear and tense moments. Blood, frantic running, and an alien world. Wait, did that little alien spider just get into the captain’s ear? We don’t know, but it was certainly heading into that direction. Yikes.

Of course, we see a facehugger, hugging a face. The new trailer also shows a couple of explosions, a tear-filled Danny McBride, a loud scream, and then what’s supposed to be a hot and steamy shower scene turn into a terrifying, bloody mess, thanks to a xenomorph trying to join in on the fun — not sure if hot, or entirely terrifying. Hmm…

The sci-fi film is directed by Ridley Scott, and it’ll star Michael Fassbender, Katerine Waterson, James Franco, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Danny McBride, and some other notable names.

We’re really liking the vibe that Covenant is giving off in this trailer, clearly highlighting the more horror-themed elements of the upcoming film.

Alien: Covenant is set to release on May 19th, and it’s one of our most anticipated sci-fi movies of 2017.
