Mini PCs have been trending for a couple of years now, and while PC gaming enthusiasts are constantly trying to beef up their rigs to be as powerful as they can be, many are looking to scale things down to basics, all while seeing just how many essential parts they can fit into a small package. The best we’ve seen so far are these Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing) Barebone systems, like this Intel Nuc 7 Enthusiast Mini PC (NUC7i7BNHX1).

It’s crazy to think that this thing measures just 4 inches by 4 inches and it includes essential PC parts like an Intel Core i7 7567U CPU, an Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 chip, and 16GB Intel Optane Memory M.2 module (which loads faster than a standard spinning hard drive). It also has two USB 3.0 ports and a Thunderbolt 3 port, as well as an HDMI port. It supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and any 2.5″ Sata HDD, and it has 802.11AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 capabilities. It has a Micro SDXC slot as well, and built-in dual array microphones.

So what can you do with this little guy? Make your own 4K Ultra HD entertainment center, create the brains of your smart home, or make it your home security hub. There are plenty of options and uses, as it brings the power of a desktop PC to such a small form factor that it’s usable anywhere. There are also a few business applications here, including the ability to be the controller for digital signage, home office uses, and more.

It’s an incredible build that’s highly portable and has many uses. All these specs for $505? No one man should have all that power.

Small but mighty, indeed. You can pick one of these babies up at Newegg.
