Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys have recently introduced Scarlet Witch from Avengers: Age of Ultron as this gorgeous Sixth Scale Collectible Figure. Elizabeth Olsen’s character is rendered with the stunning accuracy typical of these figures; the meticulous attention to detail, down to the movie-accurate facial expression and make-up, makes it well worth the high price point.
In the movie, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) undergoes experiments at the hands of HYDRA in order to obtain superpowers; she was a secret weapon of the organization until they fell, at which point she teamed up with Ultron for revenge on Tony Stark. When Ultron’s true intentions become clear, however, she ends up allying with the Avengers.
The figure includes a stand that features a Scarlet Witch nameplate and Avengers movie logo, and she stands at 11 inches (28 cm) tall, with 28 points of articulation. Also included are eight interchangeable hand pieces, including several with red translucent fingertips (complete with accessories to emulate Scarlet Witch using her powers). As a bonus accessory, the figure also comes with Ultron’s heart, which Scarlet Witch takes from the AI’s body in the movie.
This figure is a must-have for collectors; while I’m not typically, this one is so incredible it makes me want to part with the money. Seriously – look at that amazing detail.
