It looks like Amazon’s sci-fi anthology TV series based on the works of Philip K. Dick has its first big stars attached to the project.
According to Variety, Terrence Howard (Empire, Wayward Pines) and Anna Paquin (True Blood, X-Men) will star in Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. The two actors will star in an episode titled “Real Life”, which will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner and written by Ronald D. Moore.
In the episode, Paquin will play the role of a policewoman named Sarah living in the future, sharing headspace with a brilliant game designer named George (played by Howard). The two will each pursue violent killers in a race against time as they share a bond no one else can see.
The same episode will also star Rachelle Lefevre, Jacon Vargas, Guy Burnet, and Sam Witwer. The cast for other episodes is also impressive, including names like Mireille Enos (World War Z, The Killing), Benedict Wong, and Steve Buscemi.
The Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams TV series is executive produced by Bryan Cranston, who will also appear in front of the camera at some point during the series.
The new sci-fi series will air later this year on Channel 4 in the U.K., and it will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S.
