Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 Release Date, Trailer

Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel turned out to be quite a hit for their streaming platform. So much so that the first season of the show racked up 8 Emmy awards off of 14 nominations. We knew a second season was coming, but now Amazon has announced the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 release date and a new trailer to go along with it.

The series comes to us from writer, director, producer Amy Sherman-Palladino who helmed Gilmore Girls prior to creating The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The series is led by Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam “Midge” Maisel. Brosnahan earned the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Season 1. Sherman-Palladino’s series won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series following its first season run.

Following the events of the first season, here’s Amazon’s tease as to what’s to come in Season 2:

“After Midge’s triumph at the Gaslight, the fallout from her takedown of Sophie Lennon looms large, making her climb up the comedy ladder more challenging than ever. As the actual grind of being a comic begins to take its toll on Midge, the pressure to come clean to her family weighs on her – especially as her choices have a ripple effect on everyone around her.”

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 release date has been confirmed for December 5th on Amazon Prime video. In it, Zachary Levi is reportedly aboard as recurring character and Jane Lynch will return in her role of Sophie Lennon.

But Season 2 isn’t all that’s confirmed to be coming from the successful series. Outside of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 release date being set, Amazon previously confirmed that they went ahead and greenlit Season 3 of the show for their streaming platform as well. Fans can likely expect the third season to hit Amazon Prime Video sometime in early 2020.
