Jessica Jones Season 3 Release Date Announced

Following the cancelation of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher, all that remains is Jessica Jones’ third and final season. We now know when that ending will debut, as Netflix dropped a teaser trailer which offers the Jessica Jones Season 3 release date.

Other than the Jessica Jones Season 3 release date, the trailer doesn’t provide much else. Alongside the trailer’s release came a one sentence description which reads “Sometimes not even ‘heroes’ can save themselves.”

Within the teaser we hear a man’s voice threatening, “Jessica Jones, you are a fraud. You’re a cheater. No longer.” We see a very quick glimpse of Jeremy Bobb’s character in the clip, though it’s unclear who he’ll be playing. Though its alluded that he’ll be the threat in the show’s final episodes.

Season 3 was greenlit at Netflix just a month after season two’s March 2018 debut. Though the series was eventually canceled the following February just as all the other Netflix and Marvel series were.

Netflix set the Jessica Jones Season 3 release date for Friday, June 14th. Once those episodes go live, that will mark the end of the Marvel Television Universe through Netflix as we know it.

The future of Marvel’s television branch is brighter than ever though despite the breakup with Netflix. With the launch of Disney+ later this year, a slew of new projects are in the works that will directly connect with the Marvel Cinematic Universe – not just casually allude to its existence as these shows did.

Officially announced are a slate of limited series which will feature various leads from the MCU. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will roll out first in August of next year. There’s also an animated What If…? Series on the way that will reportedly feature the voices of the MCU’s leading actors. WandaVision will center around Scarlet Witch and Vision, while shows revolving around Loki and Hawkeye are in the works too.

It’s the end of an era with June 14th’s Jessica Jones Season 3 release date. But by most accounts, Marvel fans would consider it a success. Expect a more enlightening Jessica Jones Season 3 trailer as we get closer to the final season’s premiere.
