Since his lengthy part in Jessica Jones, fans have been eager to find out when we can expect to see the Luke Cage Netflix series. We already knew that Daredevil: Season 2 is coming up, but now we may know when we can next we Cage in action.
In an official tweet from the Jessica Jones twitter account, Netflix posted this picture of case files:
In the image, you can easily make out the words “Cage – November.” This release would make sense for the series since this is the same month as the Jessica Jones release last year.
Mike Colter, the actor who plays Cage, spoke in an interview with LA Times that, “Luke Cage is going to have soul, it’s going to have intensity, it’s going to have dark parts to it. I think what’s going to make it unique is also the musicality of it. There’s going to be a musical taste that you found a little bit in Jessica. It defines itself through sound that you can feel when you’re watching the scenes, whether it’s something that’s actually a song that they’re playing or actually just the pulse of the music that they choose thematically.”
More From Nerd Much?:
Fans of Luke Cage have also been wondering whether or not we’ll see Cage wear the iconic, yellow Power Man costume from the Marvel comics.
“The writers have been very clever and very on point with the way they allowed this to be grounded in realism [while] paying homage to the comic book and what comic book fans know to be their world,” Colter says. “I think we’re going to satisfy everyone. We’re not going to give them exactly what they want, but I think everyone will be ecstatic about what we’re willing to do for them.”
With the critical success of the Marvel Netflix series’ so far, we are excited to see some Luke Cage action this November.
