Remember when Supergirl was first announced? We were happy that it was coming from the same creative team as Arrow and The Flash, but with the shows being on separate networks, our dreams of a possible team-up were crushed. Today, our dreams have come true and an official team-up of The Flash and Supergirl is coming soon.
On March 28th, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be heading into National City on an upcoming episode of CBS’s Supergirl. Official details about the episode have yet to be released, but executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg are just excited that it is even happening.
“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl — The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!” they said. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”
While Arrow and The Flash have many crossovers both big and small, this will mark the first time that Supergirl has connected with either of the CW superhero shows.
In the meantime, you should probably catch up with all three shows if you like dramatic, campy, and fun superheros. Supergirl airs Mondays at 8p.m. on CBS while The Flash and Arrow air on CW at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
