Mr. Robot Season 2 Adds Craig Robinson in Recurring Role

mr robot craig robinsonIf you haven’t watched Mr. Robot‘s first season yet, you’d better get to it, as it was one of best new TV series of 2015. And now, you’re going to have one more reason to tune in, as we’ve learned that The Office‘s Craig Robinson has been added to the Mr. Robot season 2 cast.

This will be Robinson’s first attempt at a more dramatic role, according to TVLine. The actor will play the role of Ray, a local man who helps Elliot in his time of need.

We also recently learned that Mr. Robot made other additions to the Season 2 cast, including rapper Joey Bada$$, Grace Gunner (Extant), and Chris Conroy. What’s more, USA Network has promoted Stephanie Corneliussen and MIchael Cristofer to series regulars for Season 2. We also learned that Season 2 is going to be “really f*cking dark.”

We’ll be interested to see what sort of character Robinson will play, but hopefully his character is more serious in tone than Robinson’s previous characters. That’s not to say that we don’t like his previous work, but there’s a certain tone in Mr. Robot that makes it unique, and we’d hate for that aura to be disrupted.
