On July 17th the World Of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth pre-patch will be here. WoW players ” will no longer be able to earn artifact power or have access to artifact traits” but many of those traits will be incorporated into your class or spec by default.

Your artifact automatically powers up for new characters leveling through Legion. If you feel like you’re going to miss the old days of powering up your artifacts, you can take solace in having the chance to do similar things with your armor.

Professions will now function differently. Each expansion’s recipes have been separated out into their own category with their own progression. This means you won’t be playing catch-up in the same way as before.

Players can also access War Mode, benefit from PvP talents, and even start exploring some new content that’s meant to be time-limited until the launch of Battle for Azeroth. The ability to toggle this on and off allows for players to venture in peace or be open to combat. Unfortunately for some players will be negatively affected as a result of this. “War Mode will disable the /follow command and make multiboxing less viable in PvP.”

Expect class changes and rebalances as one can expect from any patch. Additionally, Blizzard is reducing the stats on enemies, NPCs, and players overall. This is meant to be an even reduction. The goal isn’t to affect the difficulty; rather it’s to make sure there are less complications. Players will end up with more reasonable numbers to work with at a glance

It can be a lot to keep track of but hence is the perk and plight of online games. For all the info, we got you covered.

Patch 8.0 will be released for World of Warcraft on Mac and Windows PC on July 17, with the Battle for Azeroth expansion launching only a few weeks later on Aug. 14.
