It looks like there have been some new additions to the Y: The Last Man cast for the upcoming TV pilot at FX, as the network has announced some additions.

This afternoon, FX noted that Diane Lane (Man of Steel, Inside Out) and Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk) have been added to the cast for the upcoming TV pilot. On top of those two names, the production also added Imogen Poots (28 Weeks LaterGreen Room), Lashana Lynch (Brotherhood), Juliana Canfield, and Marin Ireland.

Keoghan will be taking on the role of Yorick Brown, who believes he’s the lone survivor of a worldwide plague. Diane Lane will be taking on the role of Yorick’s mother, a Senator. Poots will be portraying Yorick’s sister, Hero Brown, an EMT. Lynch will be an agent of the Secret Service and Canfield will play a Brooklyn-based knife maker named Beth.

The story will follow Yorick aka Y, who is the last male left on earth do a cataclysmic event.

We’re definitely looking forward to the Y: The Last Man TV series here at Nerd Much?, as we’ve dubbed the comic series it’s based on one of the best non-superhero comic series ever created.

Unfortunately, details surrounding the production are still slim, and these are the first bit of official details we’ve gotten about the pilot so far. We first heard about the production over three years ago, then two years ago we were given a showrunner. The last time we got an update about the production was last year, when we were told FX was still waiting on a script.

Hopefully, we’ll get a premiere date soon, but for now, stay tuned to NM? for more news as we get it in.
