When Bloodborne was released early last year, people fell in love with the world that From Software created. Now we’ll get to enjoy the world in the form of a board game.

Board game designer Eric Lang announced the news today via Twitter. The game will simply be titled Bloodborne and is a fully-licensed product from the company Cool Mini Or Not.

In his following tweets, Lang describes the game as a card game based on the Chalice Dungeons of the main game. Players will compete with one another to defeat monsters and absorb their blood echoes.

Playing through the game will take an average of 30 minutes. This ensures a fast, but intense competition with risk management, inventory, and upgrades.

“My goal with Bloodborne was to channel the intensity and frustration of the video game into a contest between players.” says Lang. “Lots of death.”

This certainly sounds like a fun spin on From Software’s game. What excites us most is actually seeing what the artwork will look like on the cards themselves. With as stylized as the game was on PS4, we expect something beautiful.

Hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer before we find out when we can get our hands on the game. If it sells well, maybe they’ll continue to make a few expansions as well. Only time will tell!
