Over on Capcom’s official Twitter account for Street Fighter, the company has announced that Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will be coming out on the Nintendo Switch for May 26. At launch, it is priced for $39.99 and comes with a few features that take advantage of the unique console. According to the game’s overview, the new game will allow you to “utilize the motion controls of the Joy-Con in ‘Way of the Hado’ mode, a new first-person single player experience where players attempt to defeat the Shadaloo army using signature Hadouken and Shoryuken special moves!”
A lot like Arms that the Switch will be launching with, though it unclear if similar motion controls will be used since the analog stick lacks the precision of the d-pad. Nonetheless, the other features of this nostalgia-ridden game include all characters and bosses from the original and Super Street Fighter II, along with Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. You can also “choose between classic pixel-art graphics for a retro nostalgia trip, or enjoy a refined new modern look.” Capcom is definitely pushing the old Arcade look and feel, especially with the 2v1 mode, where you “team-up with a friend to take on the CPU opponent in ‘Dynamic Battle’ mode.”
