This concept art comes from UbiBlog’s tour of the Beyond Good & Evil 2 studio. The interviews give some insight to the game, that you’ll be raiding ships filled with hybrids and possibly recruiting them to your crew. But if they don’t agree with what you’re doing, they just get off the next stop and you’ll never see them again.
What is most interesting, however, is the set of concept art that was shown. One of which seemed to feature a very familiar character, the lovely Mistress Ching from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. As you can see, the likeness is uncanny. Honestly, her appearance is so unaltered, and the lack of second arm to her hover chair, that I would say she was photoshopped in.
It was not made clear if she will actually be a character in the game or not, as much as her appearance fits the world just fine. However we must keep in mind that it is Beyond Good & Evil and it is Ubisoft, both equally French and notorious for their odd sense of humor.
Do you think Mistress Ching would make a good fit inside the mythology of Beyond Good & Evil 2? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
