The Kojima Productions Logo has been stirring up some interest lately after Hideo Kojima started hinting that the logo had a full body.
Today, Kojima tweeted a new photo of the team’s mascot. In his post, he refers to the figure as Ludens.
As you can see below, Ludens blends together past and future in his design. The structure of his suit resembles knightly armor, but the suit itself looks very futuristic. With the flag and backpack, it looks like he may even be an astronaut of some sort.
Later tweets reveal that the suit is called “the extra-vehicular activity (EVA) creative suit.” The logo is to inspire the company to “deliver THE NEW PLAY in THE NEW FUTURE with the cutting-edge equipment, technology, and the frontier spirit.”When Kojima Productions was part of Konami, the logo was based on the FOX unit of the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Does that mean that this figure will show up in their upcoming game? Kojima already told us a little about the game.
“I won’t say that it’s an open-world title, but those that enjoy playing today’s AAA titles such as The Division and Uncharted will be able to play it smoothly. When it gets announced some may thing that it’s not as way-out as they had expected, but I’m sure they’ll understand once they play it. The genre is action.”
Whatever the game may be, and whether or not the Kojima Productions logo is part of it, we are excited to see what comes next from the iconic developer.
