Rumor: New Crash Bandicoot Game Coming 2019

According to the manager of GB Eye Max Arguile, the Crash Bandicoot series will be getting a new game in 2019. Arguile’s statement can be found in the 2018 spring edition of Licensing Source Book Europe on page 97. This is a magazine dedicated to keeping those in the licensing industry updated on “the latest trends, new properties, retail analysis,” and any new developments that might be on the market.Artwork from the Crash Bandicoot remaster

GB Eye is a large merchandise company out of the UK, producing products for just about anything geeky or nerdy that you can think of. From posters to backpacks, they have it all from the latest popular films, games, and comic books.

The article in question is stating how many merchandise companies, like GB Eye, are getting into the gaming industry and will be making products for them in the future. Insert Coin, for example, will be making clothing apparel for Kojima Studios.

GB Eye, however, is looking to sell more products at grocery stores with their new gift boxes, usually filled with toys, mugs, stickers, and more. Going into the future, Arguile states that GB Eye will be making more “title specific mugs for Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, Pokémon, Pacman, Fallout, PlayStation, and Space Invaders.”

According to Agruile, GB Eye is working closely with Activision to make Crash Bandicoot products. Arguile states that though the game “was a huge success at retail” there was no “marketing spend.”

As such, Arguile hopes to fill in the gap as Crash Bandicoot comes to the Switch and PC with “another game in 2019.” All of which has not been officially announced by Activision or the developers of Crash Bandicoot. Therefore, we have to treat this as rumor until further notice – the grain of salt must be added.

If this does turn out to be true, Crash Bandicoot would make a fine addition to the Switch library of games. A new game would certainly be surprising but very welcome, fans of the game would be thrilled to discover new levels and set new records.
