1C Company has announced a new heaven and hell themed third-person action title headed our way. Known as Devil’s Hunt, the upcoming title from Layopi Games looks like it may have its sights set on other action titles like the Devil May Cry series.
The trailer above doesn’t feature any direct gameplay, so it’s tough to see what the developers at Layopi are actually striving for with the controller in hand. All we really have to go on is 1C Company’s official break down of their just announced title:
More From Nerd Much?:
“In Devil’s Hunt, players will go to hell and back in the battle between Demons and Angels. In this upcoming third-person perspective (TPP) action game developed for PC and console by Layopi Games, players will become Desmond, a man with demonic powers who can decide the fate of our world by joining either side of the conflict.
Based on the original hit Polish fantasy novel, Equilibrium, Devil’s Hunt brings to life the eternal fight between light and darkness as all-out war between Demons and Angels appears imminent with the mortal world as the battleground. Desmond can fight using his fists and claws, making use of the skills his demonic and human sides offer—but ultimately he must choose which side he will follow.”
Key features touted by the publisher are a captivating storyline pulled from the Polish novel Equilibrium mentioned above. Desmond can change form between his human and demon sides to use skills exclusive to each. And the game is said to feature “rich, context sensitive environment interactions” as well as a deep narrative “expressed through gameplay and high-quality cutscenes.”
While we don’t know much about Devil’s Hunt, Layopi Games and 1C Company have our attention. The game is slated to come to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more on it soon.
