Three Resident Evil titles are eerily approaching the Nintendo Switch including Resident Evil HD Remaster, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4. The games release on May 21, 2019 and preorders start on February 28, 2019.
The official Resident Evil account expanded on the news, providing purchasing details.
North American Switch owners will be able to purchase Resident Evil Origins Collection at retail, bundling together both RE0 and 1! Stay tuned for more info.
European Switch owners will be able to grab all three games as separate digital downloads through the Nintendo eShop! More info coming soon.
The prices for all of these options have also yet to be disclosed but, with preorders opening up soon, we’re bound to get more information sometime this week.
The Resident Evil HD Remaster came out for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in January 2015. And the remaster of Resident Evil 0 launched in 2016 for the same platforms. Of course, the original games trace back to 1996 and 2002, respectively.
Resident Evil Origins Collection released in January 2016, containing both 2015’s Resident Evil HD remaster and 2016’s Resident Evil 0‘s remaster for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
We already knew that Resident Evil 4 was coming to the Nintendo Switch, as it was announced last year, but now it has an official release date. The original game came out in 2005 and it has since been ported just about everywhere. Now that RE4 is coming to Switch that means you can play that game on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, GameCube, Android, and iOS. Apparently, it also came out on a console called the Zeebo that’s only available in Mexico and Brazil.
And now Resident Evil 4 (plus 0 and 1) can be with you always and everywhere when the Nintendo Switch versions release on May 21, 2019.
