Nordic Games has unveiled a brand new open-world RPG that we’re excited about titled ELEX, which is described by developer Piranha Bytes as an “eclectic, lavish, exhilarating, xenial open-world RPG, […] by far the most ambitious project for Piranha Bytes and Nordic Games to date.”
Nordic Games goes on to describe the game as “edgy, dark, uncompromising, [and] complex.”
“We can’t wait to show you a completely new game experience with a fresh setting, new assets and plenty of possibilities,” game director Bjorn Pankratz said.
ELEX will head to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in late 2016/early 2017, and gamers will get their first look at the game at Gamescom in August.
The Piranha Bytes games list includes the Gothic and Risen series (we’ve only played the latter). We don’t know much about ELEX just yet, but the description of the game certainly sounds interesting. We’ll be keeping an eye on all of the ELEX news as it hits. Hopefully, the world is truly a unique one and Piranha Bytes will be able to grab our attention.
