Telltale Shows The Walking Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy Games

Telltale’s The Walking Dead episodes continue on as players enter the third season as a much older Clementine or a new character named Javier, described as “a young man determined to find the family taken from him, [who meets] a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss.” Clearly, they’re referring to Clementine.

Javier had to kill members of his own family after they turned into zombies as shown in the trailer below. They stated their “fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last,” like the rest of the interactive fiction series that focuses heavily on difficult moral decisions.

The game will launch on December 20th though it was originally set to release in November.  And it will come out for the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS, and Android. It will release with two episodes and the rest will follo w next year.

In addition, the team is working on their Guardians of the Galaxy based game, scheduled to release in 2017. Its announcement was leaked last month during the voice actors strike but it was officially announced at The Game Awards. Granted the announcement trailer didn’t show much beyond a ship flying through space to the song “Dancing in the Moonlight”. CEO Kevin Burner stated:

“In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot’s seat in directing their escapades around the universe. We are always honored to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we’ve been developing when it premieres in 2017.”
