Perception Horror Game To Come On The PS4

The Deep End, the studio behind the upcoming Perception game, have teamed up with Feardemic and are planning on publishing their game to the PS4. There is no release date, but there have been rumors for 2017 so who knows. In my humble opinion, I don’t think it will be ready for another year or two judging by the gameplay videos so far. Even the story has changed since this game last made the news.

For those that don’t know yet, The Deep End is a studio full of developers who have worked on many a triple A game, especially Bioshock. Their one and only game, Perception, started out as a kickstarter and they met their goal in 2015.

The game’s premise is what has all of us in such excitement over it. You play as a blind girl and your only way to “see” is through sound. Tapping your walking stick helps you see about a few feet in front of you, and you otherwise more or less engulfed in darkness. Sounds easy, right? Well, you’re also trapped in a haunted house with what the devs call “the presence”.

It is highly attracted to sound and the more you tap, the more it follows you. Recent gameplay videos have shown the player hiding behind a torn painting, turning on a radio to see the room, and hiding in the husk of a corpse.

An inspiring game to be sure and having a set system to go on is one step closer to this game being released. Are you looking forward to this game? Happy that it’s one the PS4? Let us know in the comments below!
