Legendary actor Christopher Lee has passed away at the age of 93.
The actor, most famous for his role as Count Dracula for Hammer Horror Films in the 1960s, died while being treated for respiratory issues.
Of course, we know him best in nerd culture for his role as Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels, as well as Saruman in the Lord of the Rings movies, the most recent of which being The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Lee has quite a few other credits to his name, including lending his voice to the Kingdom Hearts II and Goldeneye: Rogue Agent video games. He also played a bond villain in The Man With the Golden Gun.
Lee was scheduled to appear in an upcoming movie titled The 11th alongside Uma Thurman and Connie Nielson, although we don’t know how far into production the movie is in. Whether or not Lee will still be able to appear in the film with footage filmed before his unfortunate death is yet to be known.
R.I.P. Christopher Lee.
