It’s Official – Deadpool Will Be In The X-Force Movie

In an interview with Deadline, when asked just how much of the X-Men universe is “left in the vault”, producer Simon Kinberg replied that “we are working hard on New Mutants, Gambit with Channing Tatum, Deadpool 2 and the new X-Force movie where Deadpool is alongside Cable and other main characters.”

Thus far, Cable is expected to be played by David Harbour (Stranger Things) and will make an appearance in Deadpool 2. And of course, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.It's Official - Deadpool Will Be In The X-Force Movie

Though we’ve known that X-Force has been in the works for awhile now, and in the comics Deadpool is often included on the team, this is the first official confirmation that everyone’s favorite mercenary will be included in the film.

In addition, Ryan Reynolds himself has been clear about his desires towards the franchise “X-Force is really my priority. I really want to get that in.” Though that statement comes before Deadpool was the most successful film in the X-Men movie series.

As such, where Deadpool is concerned, the main focus is on Deadpool 2. Though the film has only just begun shooting, a teaser trailer was released along with Logan‘s premiere. The trailer showed Deadpool in all his wisecracking glory, R-rated butt crack included, and is a joy to watch.
