Coming from Instagram user jurassic_world2018, are some interesting photos from the set of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Though there are plenty of spoiler warnings, I’m not sure the images really earn that title, though I understand some folks a sensitive to the issue. As such, I will link the images at the end of the post and describe them briefly, but I won’t insert them there.
The images contain mostly the dinosaur props, a damaged truck, and a sign for a dock station. The dinosaurs include Velociraptors, Dilophosaurus, and an old favorite in the form of Tyrannosaurus Rex. They look just as real as I remember from the very first film; we really must commend the team that built them.
The damaged truck is clearly issued from the park officials themselves, likely something to do with park security. The dock sign is probably the most spoiler-y that we’re going to get, as it implies there is an island involved as part of the park. I’m sure it’s perfectly safe and not at all a reference to the previous three Jurassic Park films.
The rest of the images are mainly wide shots of the park itself at a great height. One such image shows the iconic pyramid building we saw in the officially released group of photos from the studio.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released July 22, 2017 and stars Chris Pratt returning as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard also returning from the previous film as Claire Dearing, Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm from the original Jurassic Park trilogy, B. D. Wong is also coming back as Dr. Henry Wu, and James Cromwell (the only new guy) as Benjamin Lockwood.
J. A. Bayona is directing the film, taking over from Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow. Bayona is known for such films as A Monster Calls and The Orphanage, so we can expect the film to have beautiful effects and maybe a little emotion thrown in.
