Dead Trigger Trailer Brings the Mobile Game to Life

If you’ve been waiting to feast your eyes on the biggest zombie action film of 2019, wait no longer. Saban Films has released a new Dead Trigger trailer, proving that all you need is a 60 year old Dolph Lundgren to take down an army of the undead.

The Dead Trigger trailer showcases the Lundgren led Dead Trigger squadron attempting to thwart the zombie apocalypse by gunning down every walker in their sight. Oh, and they might just try to find a cure too, but they’re going to kill a shit ton of zombies along the way.

Saban Films’ synopsis for the zombie flick reads, “In the near future, a deadly virus has killed billions and turned many others into bloodthirsty zombies. Unable to stop the spread of the virus, the government recruits an elite team to combat the zombie menace.”

Alongside Lundgren in the movie are a supporting cast consisting of Autumn Reeser, Romeo Miller, Isaiah Washington amongst others. The movie was written by Heinz Treschnitzer, and it was directed by Mike Cuff and Scott Windhauser.

The actual genesis for Dead Trigger stems from a 2012 mobile game of the same name. Developed by Madfinger Games, the title was a zombie-themed first person survival horror game. It was quite well received, accruing over 23 million downloads with a Metacritic score of 70. A sequel was eventually developed in Dead Trigger 2 which released in October 2013.

If the Dead Trigger trailer got you excited, you won’t have long to wait for the full product. The movie will have a limited run in theaters and be available through video on demand platforms on May 3rd.
