New Avengers: Endgame Trailer Drops, Tickets On Sale
There was speculation that tickets would be going on sale this morning for one of the biggest events in movie history. But what we didn’t know was that we would be getting a pretty damn good new Avengers: Endgame trailer too. Happy Tuesday, folks.
The new Avengers: Endgame trailer starts out at the team’s HQ. The team has obviously been discussing revenge tactics. Banner states, “If we do this, we’d be going in shorthanded.” To which Rhodey replies, “Yeah, ya mean, ‘cuz he killed all our friends?” Ouch, James. Ouch.
We hear Black Widow reciting a familiar line. “We owe this. To everyone who’s not in this room – to try.” Cap is seen reflecting, literally, in a bathroom mirror. Nebula and Rocket share a moment holding hands. And we get a new, poignant quote from Tony as we see him reuniting with Pepper, “It’s not about how much we lost, it’s about how much we have left.”
“We’re the Avengers” he continues. “We gotta finish this.” There’s a group shot here confirming the majority of our avenging roster: Hawkeye, War Machine, Iron Man, Captain America, Nebula, Rocket Ant-Man and Black Widow. But, of course, we known Hulk/Banner and Captain Marvel are a part of the crew too. And then, outside of the group shot, a moment we’ve been waiting years for. “You trust me?” Tony says to Cap, eye to eye. “I do.” Steve responds with a handshake.
We then see the Benatar flying through space. The new Avengers: Endgame trailer makes you think this is the team leaving to face off with Thanos. But it looks like it actually may be Nebula and Tony escaping from Titan because it doesn’t appear to be Earth in the background.
Regardless, the next clip sees our new Avengers team strapped in flying through space. Here, Stark looks to be lamenting the loss of Peter Parker. And then we hear a familiar voice.
We haven’t seen much of Thanos in the films prior teases. But he’s here briefly in this new Avengers: Endgame trailer. And he steals the entire one minute spot with one line. He’s taunting one of the crew, likely Stark, but it could be anyone, saying, “You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me.” Yes, yes it did.
The new Avengers: Endgame trailer then wraps up, but not before delivering one final intriguing shot. Our core hero trio of Iron Man, Captain America and Thor are walking through the devastated landscape that we’ve previously seen. And if you look closely, you can see the Mad Titan sitting ahead of them out of focus. He looks defeated, but surely we aren’t seeing that. Rather, he’s likely waiting for the group to arrive for a final showdown. Or at least one of a few showdowns we’ll be seeing in just a few weeks.
