According to a report, Josh Mond, the man behind James White, is set to direct Jake Ellis, the movie being developed by 20th Century Fox based on the 2011 Image Comics graphic novel Who is Jake Ellis?.
The movie will center around Jon Moore, a former CIA analyst whose life changes after the voice in his head, named Jake Ellis, is revealed to be a secret human-experimentation operation gone wrong. In order to save himself, Silas has to learn to listen to the voice and figure out why he’s involved in the mission and how to get the voice out.
If it sounds trippy, it is. The graphic novel, which is written by Nathan Edmondson, is filled with intrigue and mysterious elements, as well as espionage elements. It’s one part Jason Bourne, one part Fight Club.
More From Nerd Much?:
Originally attached to the movie was director David Yates of Harry Potter fame, who was originally announced in 2013 as the man behind the camera for a script from Seth Lochhead. According to Deadline, the project has changed directors and is being sent out to writers now.
If this first movie is successful, we wouldn’t be surprised to see its sequel, Where is Jake Ellis?, adapted as well.
