Below has been delayed out of its Summer 2016. Players looking to play the upcoming Xbox One exclusive will have to wait for another new release date.
Developer Capybara Games revealed the bad news yesterday saying they are “not quite done excavating [Below’s] depths, or polishing all of its facets.” The company has decided to delay the game without giving any sort of release window or date. Capy wants to make sure Below “lives up to our studio’s standards, and the quality that you expect from our games.”
With Below delayed, people may be wondering why there wasn’t any sort of release date given. The company has decided that they are “going dark while we take the time that we need to complete Below without compromise.” On a more positive note, the next time we hear something new, it will include a firm release date.
More From Nerd Much?:
“We’re sorry we let you down with yet another delay. But in the end, we need to make certain that the hard work we’ve put into this game turns into something you’ll love, and to us that unfortunately means keeping Below in the oven a while longer, until it truly is ready,” said the developer.
Below was announced during E3 2013 as an Xbox One exclusive. Since then, the title has seen multiple release windows. Hopefully this is the final instance with Below delayed. We’ll be sure to let you know as a release date develops.
