Skull and Bones Announced: Black Flag Ship Battles Standalone Game

Ubisoft has unveiled a new title, Skull and Bones. The trailer features all things pirates, including ships, swash-buckling, ship battles, including the Kraken. Despite this it looks like the less humorous and more detailed version of Sea of Thieves, with a lone focus on naval combat.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Singapore, and it’s going to be an online naval open world game set in a shared universe. Players will be able to play solo or with their friends. The trailer showcased various different types of ships, including long range fire boats, cannon-toting mid-sized boats, and quicker, smaller boats.

In one of the game’s multiplayer modes called Loot Hunt, two teams (each with five ships) will race against another team of five for the treasure, with the effort being to take the gold without being sunken by your enemies.

Skull and Bones has no firm release date just yet, but it’s coming Fall 2018 as of right now, and it’ll be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
