One of the obvious vacancies of Game of Thrones’ fifth season was the absence of Bran Stark (played by actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright). We last saw Bran talking to weirwood tree/old man hybrid at the end of Season 4, and then didn’t see him at all in the last ten episodes. Now, Hempstead-Wright has confirmed that Bran will be making his return in Game of Thrones Season 6.
According to an interview with the Irish Examiner, Isaac revealed that he will start filming scenes for Season 6 at the end of July.
“I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions,” the young actor teased.
Also of interest are Isaac’s comments on Jon Snow’s possible return.
“I don’t know (if he will come back). He’s said he’s not,” noted Isaac.
We’ll take that with a grain of salt, as it could mean just about anything (Kit Harington could’ve lied, could’ve been just teasing the young actor, etc). And while we all suspected that little Bran would be returning next season, we finally have confirmation.
Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere date will likely be on Sunday, April 3, 2016, although we have yet to have a confirmed date. For all of the up to date Game of Thrones Season 6 news, check out our Everything We Know About GoT Season 6 post.
