We always like to share the cool stuff we come across in our everyday lives with our readers, especially if it somehow enhances your everyday nerdy things. If you’re a big gamer, TV or movie watcher, we highly recommend using bias lighting for your TV and/or PC monitor to enhance your gaming/viewing.

There are plenty of bias lighting solutions available here in 2017, and we’ve checked out quite a few of them over the past few months. Last week, we checked out the Luminoodle Color Bias LED Strip from Power Practical, and now, we can’t imagine watching TV or gaming without it.

This strip adds lighting behind your TV to create sharper images and contrast to your TV without adding a glare, and there are numerous color options and modes that you can use. In fact, there are 14 colors and 10 brightness settings, as well as 3 white modes and 3 fade/strobe modes. It has an auto-changing ambient lighting option as well, providing your living room with a highlight of colors.

It comes with a wireless remote as well as an in-line controller, so you can control the lighting options right from your couch.

There are three different sizes available: a small 1 meter strip, a medium 2 meter strip, and a large 3 meter strip (which accommodates sizes up to 70″). Each strip has 3M adhesive backing so that it’s easily mounted to the back of your television or monitor. It’s powered via USB, so if your TV doesn’t have a USB port, you’ll need a wall adapter.

For those unaware, bias lighting — aside from looking cool — helps to reduce eye strain because of the reduced contrast between the TV and the surrounding room, making your blacks look blacker and the colors pop.

If you’re not watching TV and gaming with bias lighting, you’re simply not living the right life.

Luminoodle’s Color Bias Lighting LED Strips are available starting at $19.99 on Amazon.
