Sega and Creative Assembly have announced Warhammer II with wicked new trailer that shows off its cinematic muscles, four new playable races, and four lands to explore.
The four races are High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, and a fourth yet to be properly announced. The lands of this world include Ulthuan, Naggaroth, The Southlands, and Lustria.
According to the developers, Warhammer II will offer a new style of gameplay alongside the usual Total War. This new mode is the single player campaign, though it is described as a “new style of narrative campaign” on the site.
Both modes lead to the player’s decision to either destroy or save the odd-looking huricane called the Great Vortex over Ulthuan. It’s much more than bad weather, of course, and will result “in a cataclysmic endgame.”
But before you get there, Sega is claiming over hundreds of hours of gameplay, as any good Warhammer game should have.
Indeed, if you happen to be a big fan and own Warhammer II and the first game, a free update will arrive soon after launch that will allow you to play through the new campaigns as any of the four races mentioned.
There is not set release date yet, other than the end of 2017. In addition, Warhammer is supposed to be trilogy, so fans are expecting to hear about a third game soon as well.
