The Division: New Update Makes Improvements

The Division has captured our attention for almost two weeks now. Starting tomorrow, Ubisoft will update a number of aspects of the game.

Patch 1.0.2 releases March 22 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One simultaneously. With it, Ubisoft will fix some of the complaints and exploits that have been discovered since launch.

One exploit that is being patched out is that players could kill named NPCs over and over again in the open world. With this new patch, named NPCs will no longer respawn after being killed in the open world.

Other updates are more beneficial to the community. To help with loot grinding, named enemies in challenge mode missions or the Dark Zone will now drop better loot. Additionally, punishments for going rogue or dying in the Dark Zone have been lessened. Hopefully this will give players more incentive to fight one another, adding to the suspense.

As for the rest of the fixes, most of them address some bugs for the UI and audio. One bug that will not be fixed yet is when the player screen goes black and gray while looking at your own appearance. This has been a problem since the Alpha, and it looks like they are still working on a fix.
