With each passing month in 2016, people get more eager to hear official news about the Nintendo NX. With these new NX controller images, the rumors are getting harder to ignore.
Coming from a new Reddit user, these two new images are crystal clear and show off a much more realistic looking device. Regardless of this being the new controller or not, it definitely feels like this is a real, physical object.
This means that if this is a fabricated leak, someone created a physical device to coincide with previous leaks. With 3D printer technology being as good as it is these days, this idea is not that crazy.Regardless of this controller’s validity, there was additional details that went with these “leaked” images. According to the post:
- Only the upper ‘nubs’ of the sticks move. The bottom part is static (kind of like the circle pad, but it moves along the bottom ‘sphere.’
- The rollers on the top feel and look pretty much identical to a mouse scroll-wheel. Though I do don’t believe this will be the final design.
- Haptic feedback is feels like Apples ‘taptic’ engine. Not like regular rumble.
- 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom
More From Nerd Much?:
The largest complaint people seem to have over this design is the lack of physical buttons. Nintendo has always worked hard to produce comfortable, well-designed controllers that feel good to use. Digital buttons on a touch screen are famous for lacking the precision and feel that physical buttons have.
For now, we suggest you use this as fuel for your imagination. Think of what you would like to see in the Nintendo NX controller and let us know!
