Rather than a full release, the upcoming Atari game will be available through Steam Early Access on March 30. Until the developers feel that the game is ready to be released as a finished product, the game will stay in Early Access.
“Yes, there really is much more work we want to do.” says the developers. ” As Early Access progresses our timeline for final release will become clearer.”
If you were one of the fans who pre-ordered the game, Atari understands that not everyone is okay with this different approach. Because of this, they are offering a full refund to anyone who had already pre-ordered the game through Atari or the games official websites. If the game was pre-ordered elsewhere, refunds will be handled by those individual stores.
As the developers are aware, this give you a chance to try out the game for a day on Early Access before deciding on whether you want a refund or not.
More From Nerd Much?:
Just like in previous games in the series, you will have access to many of the series’ favorites. This includes 30 normal rides, free-form rollercoaster building, more than 10 types of coasters with “ride cams,” four different themes, and more.
At launch, the game will include three modes including campaign, scenario, and sandbox. More modes will be added later in development. For more details on RollerCoaster Tycoon World, check out what will be in the game here.
